Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using CountingJapanese.com ("the Service"), creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

What CountingJapanese.com provides

CountingJapanese.com is a Japanese number and counter drilling tool. The Service is provided as-is for educational purposes. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcome.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Accounts

Creating and maintaining an account

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (16 in the EU).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.

Payments

Premium access and billing

Premium access is available as a one-time lifetime purchase or a recurring monthly subscription. All prices are in USD.

Lifetime purchase: a single payment grants permanent premium access for as long as the Service exists. This is a one-time charge with no recurring billing.
Monthly subscription: billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment details. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Refund Policy

Refunds and cancellations

Lifetime purchases: eligible for a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not used any premium features during that period. To request a refund, contact us at contact@countingjapanese.com with your order details. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.

Monthly subscriptions: you may cancel at any time by contacting us at contact@countingjapanese.com or, once available, via your account settings. No refund is issued for the current billing period — access continues until the period ends. Future charges stop immediately upon cancellation.

EU consumers — right of withdrawal: under EU consumer law you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. However, by completing your purchase and accessing premium features, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is waived once access begins. If you have not accessed any premium features, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days by contacting us at contact@countingjapanese.com.

We reserve the right to decline refund requests where there is evidence of abuse, such as repeated purchase-and-refund cycles.

Intellectual Property

Ownership and license

All content, code, and design of CountingJapanese.com is owned by or licensed to us. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute any part of the Service.

Japanese number readings and counter readings used in the Service are factual linguistic content and are not claimed as proprietary.

Acceptable Use

What you may not do

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or automate the Service in ways that place undue load on our infrastructure
Share, sell, or transfer your account or premium access to another person
Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity

Liability

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California. EU and UK consumers retain the right to bring claims in their local courts under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
